Welcome to Yarda AI Landscape Studio ("Yarda," "we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and AI-powered landscape design generation service.

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Email address, name, and profile information when you sign up via Google OAuth
  • Property Information: Street addresses and property locations you submit for landscape design generation
  • Payment Information: Payment card details processed securely by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)
  • User Preferences: Design preferences, yard area selections, and custom prompts

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, generation history, and interaction patterns
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers
  • Cookies and Local Storage: Authentication tokens, user preferences, and session data
  • Analytics Data: Service usage statistics collected via Vercel Analytics

2.3 Third-Party Data

  • Google Maps API: Geocoded coordinates, Street View imagery, and satellite imagery of properties
  • Google OAuth: Email address and basic profile information from your Google account

We use your information to:

  • Process your payments and manage your subscription or credits
  • Generate landscape designs based on property addresses you provide

  • Improve our service through usage analytics and performance monitoring
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents

Homeowner Early Access and Free Designs

Yarda offers homeowner early access and, when available, free homeowner design generation. This section explains what those features collect and why.

  • Early access: If you join the homeowner waitlist, we save the email address you provide with Resend so we can send launch updates. The waitlist form does not collect your property address.
  • Free design requests: When you request a free homeowner design, we use the address, Google place ID, coordinates, selected style, and yard preferences you provide to fetch Google Maps, satellite, and Street View imagery and generate your design with Google Gemini.
  • Visitor cookie: We issue a signed, HttpOnly cookie named yarda_vid that lasts up to one year. It helps us remember anonymous free design usage and connect a free design to your account if you later sign in.
  • Abuse prevention: To keep the free design service available, we store usage counts by visitor, address, and a salted hash of IP address. These free-usage records are retained for up to 90 days for abuse prevention and quota enforcement.
  • Bot protection: We use Vercel BotID to help decide whether a generation request looks automated. BotID may use browser, device, request, and network signals for that check.
  • Saved designs: Generated design images, request details, and generation metadata are saved so the result can be shown to you. If you create or sign in to an account, free designs from your anonymous visitor session can be claimed into that account.

AI Photo Processing Disclosure

How we use AI to process your property photos:

  • Image Input: When you provide a property address, we retrieve satellite imagery and Street View photos from Google Maps API. These images are temporarily processed to generate your landscape designs.
  • AI Generation: We use Google Gemini AI models to analyze your property photos and generate landscape design visualizations. The AI identifies property boundaries, existing features, and applies your selected design style.
  • No Model Training: Your property photos are NOT used to train our AI models. Images are processed only for your specific design generation request and are not retained for machine learning purposes.
  • Data Retention: Generated designs are stored in your account history. Original satellite/Street View images are cached temporarily for generation purposes only and are not permanently stored by Yarda.

SMS Communications & Opt-In

SMS Data Collection

When you opt in to receive SMS messages from Yarda AI, we collect and process the following information:

  • Phone Number: Your mobile phone number provided during the opt-in process
  • Name and Contact Info: First name, last name, email address, and company name (if provided)
  • Consent Records: Timestamps and records of your consent to receive transactional and/or marketing SMS messages
  • Message Delivery Data: Delivery status, timestamps, and carrier information for messages sent to you

How SMS Opt-In Works

You may opt in to receive SMS messages from Yarda AI by completing the SMS opt-in form on our website. We offer two types of SMS consent:

  • Transactional Messages (Required): Service-related messages such as landscape design previews, partnership updates, account notifications, and appointment reminders.
  • Marketing Messages (Optional): Promotional messages including special offers, new feature announcements, and marketing communications.

How to Opt Out of SMS

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any SMS message you receive from us
  • Contacting us at admin@yarda.pro

Reply HELP to any message for assistance. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Mobile Information Sharing

Your mobile phone number and associated SMS opt-in information will NOT be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile information may only be shared with our SMS service provider (Twilio) solely for the purpose of delivering messages you have consented to receive.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share your information with third-party service providers:

  • Supabase: Database hosting and authentication services
  • Google Cloud: Maps API (geocoding, imagery), Gemini AI (design generation)
  • Stripe: Payment processing and subscription management
  • Vercel: Frontend hosting and analytics
  • Resend: Email list storage for homeowner early access and launch updates
  • Railway: Backend API hosting
  • Twilio: SMS message delivery (phone number shared only for delivering opted-in messages)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Internal Access to Your Data

Our authorized personnel may access your account information, generation history, payment records, and associated data for the following purposes:

  • Customer Support: Reviewing your account details to resolve issues you report
  • Fraud Prevention: Investigating suspicious activity to protect you and our service
  • Service Quality: Monitoring generation quality, debugging errors, and improving our AI models
